I look at this, and post updates when they happen. There isn't much happening in this City in regard to WiFi. My inquiries go unanswered. There is pretty low interest in community WiFi projects, point-to-point links, and even other experimenting.

Pittsburgh's Wireless Community consists of -- just me.

we are trying to start a mesh network based on gnu-linux
and recycled equipment.

Next week I'm going to receive the hardware from a dismantled wireless network. I hope it can be retrofitted to act as gateways for neighborhood mesh networks. Anyone who is interested in helping can come play with my new toys when they arrive. A common project might help stimulate a little more interest in the site. I find people lose interest when there's nothing to do. You can email me through this site.
