Life as a Madison

Fri, 2008-12-26 23:31

I’m Gina Madison, a.k.a. Gina Villiotti, a.k.a. Gina V. I was a Jersey girl for about 4 years before moving back home to Pittsburgh this past June. Yep, I am a BurghGirl again - always was at heart. I am a Penn State alumnus - got my degree in journalism, but I have been doing PR since I graduated, currently for a financial services company. My newest adventure in social media has been a wild ride so far - meeting tons of tweople (follow me @Madison14 on Twitter) and learning more and more everyday! Oh, did I mention that I am also a reality TV show and information junkie?!?! Happy blogging…welcome to my life as Gina Madison.

Picking Daisies

Fri, 2008-12-26 23:29

38 year-old, slightly self-depricating, mother of four young children, living in the South Hills of Pittsburgh, trying not to spontaneously combust on a daily basis. I post about my mundane yet extraordinary life-regularly* (*as often as I can find a flat surface to plop my somewhat large bottom upon and type a few words without being continually harassed by smaller humans)

The Soiled Chamois

Fri, 2008-12-26 23:13

The Soiled Chamois is a personal blog journal of an amateur endurance mountain bike racer doing his best not to COMPLETELY suck. Not a pro, not a contender, just a regular guy putting in miles in the pursuit free t shirts and post race beer. Why the Soiled Chamois? Because it you ride long and hard enough there's bound to be a little chamois soilage!

thoughts are king

Fri, 2008-12-26 23:03

Hmmm ... I guess if I had to describe it, I would say the general theme is getting used to life post-college/adjusting to the corporate world/letting go of the good ole' college days and embracing the next phase of life.

A Complete Lack of Etiquette

Fri, 2008-12-26 22:59

This anonymous blog is pure snark and venting about daily life in Pittsburgh. It is likely that, once established, I will be making fun of Ben Roethlisberger and commentating as the Child Mayor attempts to make it big. I will lament about the lack of life downtown. I will marvel about growing up nearby (within 100 miles) and yet feeling like a complete outsider here. I love Pittsburgh like I love my brother: He's part of my family, but I can't stand to have dinner with him.

Queer Look at the Bible

Mon, 2008-12-01 22:32

Queer Look at the Bible is a gay man's perspective on religion, the Bible and culture. Instead of simply looking at the Bible and dismissing it as homophobic, what happens if we open it and look for the queer perspective in it?

Today's Mighty Oak

Mon, 2008-12-01 22:18

More often than not, Mike can be found doing something outside or being distracted by something shiny. Commuting from the very end of the Parkway East to uptown each day is a chore, but just part of Pittsburgh life. Easily distracted and always looking to experience new things, no matter how mundane, Mike's writing is sometimes irreverent, oftentimes seemingly irrelevant. Mike enjoys camping, SCUBA diving, geocaching, reading, strange music, even stranger television and jumbo paper clips. Mike is a firm believer in the power of web 2.0 and runs and contributes to a multitude of websites scattered across the internet.

Oh yeah, Mike sometimes writes in the third person.
